Here’s the short version of the rules: No profanity, no name-calling, and stay on-topic.
One of these days I’ll put together some specific tips on how to hold a good argument without losing friends or embarrassing yourself too much. In the meantime, just be nice to everybody and you’ll be ahead of the game. So far it is a quiet blog, as mine tend to be, so I’m not really expecting much excitement.
Note also: The first time you comment, your post usually (not always) gets held for moderation. Subsequent posts should show up immediately. If your comment disappears altogether, it has probably fallen into the automated spam-detector. Re-post, and include include in your comment a note to me letting me know what you think happened.
If you want to comment on an older post, feel free to do so. This is one of those long slow blogs where you don’t need to worry about being out of date. Please put your comments with the original discussion, but you are welcome to post a comment in the most recent post saying that you’ve added to the earlier discussion. (I will know regardless, but other readers might be interested.)
